Question 1: How many people?
Up to two people fit into any room. From three it gets more nuanced.
Some double rooms take an extra bed for a third person, the Fontane Junior Suite and the Accessible Room sleep four. Two Lake View Rooms can be booked with a connecting door. From five people the way leads to the apartments: the Bungalow takes five, the Big Family Apartment six guests.
Question 2: Breakfast served or home-made?
At the hotel you have breakfast at Theodors, daily from 7 to 10 am. Whether it is included in the rate is shown at booking. In the apartments you decide for yourself.
Apartment guests can add breakfast at Theodors, registering the day before. Families with small children often appreciate their own kitchen: breakfast at six, supper at half past five, regardless of restaurant hours.
Question 3: How long are you staying?
For two nights the room is the simpler choice. From four nights the apartment pays off.
A week by the lake means wet swimwear, sand, bike helmets and shopping. An apartment with hallway, kitchen and terrace is built for that. A weekend, on the other hand, lives from doing nothing: room with lake view, breakfast, lawn, sauna, dinner.
Question 4: How important is the lake view?
The Lake View Rooms and suites in the house have it, the apartments do not. They are quiet, 290 metres from the hotel.
Question 5: What about the sauna, the lawn, the playground?
The same for both groups. All hotel facilities are open to apartment guests: lawn with beach, sauna at the hotel included by prior booking, playground, mini golf, outdoor gym.
