RE3 to Eberswalde
From Berlin Hauptbahnhof in 30 to 40 minutes to Eberswalde. From there taxi or bus to Altenhof, about 20 minutes. Reception helps organise the transfer.

Berlin–Usedom cycle route
The long-distance route runs through the Schorfheide and past the Werbellinsee. At the house there are three to four outdoor bike racks, maps and tour tips at reception.
Rental bikes are available at the boat hire right next to the hotel.

When can I check in and when do I have to check out?
Check-in is from 3 pm, check-out by 11 am. Reception is staffed daily from 7 am to 7 pm. Please let us know by phone if you arrive later.
How far is the Fontane Hotel from Berlin?
About 60 minutes by car from central Berlin via the A11, 45 minutes from the northern edge of the city, 75 minutes from BER airport. By train it takes 30 to 40 minutes to Eberswalde, then 20 minutes by taxi or bus.
Is there parking at the hotel?
Yes, 10 parking spaces right at the hotel; they are not included in the room rate. For the apartments there is a public car park about 50 metres away, and at the Silberwolf there is motorcycle parking right at the house.
