2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted on servers in Germany. When you visit, technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) are processed in log files to ensure the operation and security of the site (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.

3. Booking via Mews

You book rooms and apartments via the booking platform Mews (Mews Systems B.V., Amsterdam). When you use the availability search, arrival, departure and number of guests are passed to Mews and the booking is completed there. The Mews privacy policy applies to the processing of your data in the booking; the contractual partner remains Fontane Gastro GmbH (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). This website itself sets no cookies when forwarding you.

4. Contact and enquiries

For enquiries by form, email or phone we process your details to handle the enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). The voucher order is transmitted to reception via our server: its content is stored briefly on a server in Germany so that the order can be traced, and delivered by email through a mail server in the EU; it is deleted once the order has been handled. The other forms on this site open your email program. Enquiries are deleted once handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Cookies and statistics

This website sets no cookies for tracking or advertising. For audience measurement we count page views and individual actions (for example clicks on the phone number or on the booking) solely in the server log files (section 2); nothing is stored on your device, no cookies are set and no third-party providers are involved (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; no consent under Section 25 TDDDG is required). Your local time and season are calculated in your browser only and not transmitted.

6. External services

Links to Google Maps, Instagram, Facebook, TripAdvisor and the Silberwolf Biker Bar lead to external sites. No data are transferred to these providers when you open this page; their privacy policies apply only once you click the link. Videos and fonts are loaded from our own server.

7. Concierge (AI information service)

The concierge on this website answers your questions about the house. When you submit a question, the question text and the previous course of the conversation are transmitted to our server in Germany and from there to Anthropic PBC (USA), which operates the language model. The transfer to the USA is based on the EU standard contractual clauses. We do not store the questions; according to its own statements, Anthropic does not use them for training. The legal basis is your consent through use (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Please do not enter personal data. Reception is always happy to answer your questions in person as well.

8. AI-assisted content

Photos and moving images on this website are real recordings; two AI visualisations (weddings, horse riding) are marked on the image and in the image data. Texts are structured and checked with AI tools, and the concierge (section 7) answers with AI assistance. Details under AI notice. Displaying this content involves no processing of visitors’ personal data.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Brandenburg: Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg.
